The Chinese paintings of royal Tang princesses, rich people and lovely peasant clothing consisted of thin, translucent brocade with high quality silk gowns and tight sashes. Although the Wei and Jin clothing was loose and large around the bottom of the gown and the sleeves, the Chinese clothing has always been TIGHT around the slender waists of Chinese women. Also, the Wei and Jin Chinese clothing was sometimes been TIGHT around the shoulders and upper arms and tight around the waist. Hundreds of years ago, Chinese women at rice and vegetables and healthier food and Asian girls are mostly slimmer and not heavy in weight. Western women were heavier and caucasian men and women said it was fashionable for western women to be plump most likely 1000 years ago as well as heavier in the modern era.
