Colleen, western clothing styles for women COPIES and uses a lot of Chinese inventions such as Mandarin buttons, Chinese style collars long gowns with sashes etc. that were worn FIRST since the Qin dynasty 2000 years ago and before that. Colleen, that is truly weird what you said about the styles (no, no) looking western is totally BACKWARDS and troublesome Colleen. There is ONLY one item which is the collars on the back of their heads-you cannot name a single other style that was (no) obtained from western clothing.

In the 1810s which was over 1000 years AFTER the great Tang dynasty, please note the fact that western women’s clothing COPIED our Chinese Tang dynasty gowns and dresses. Tang clothing for wealthy women in the emperor’s harem invented and created thin, translucent brocade material, low cut clothes high on the top, and colourful and long silk gowns, and sashes tight around the waist and sashes tied around the upper rig cage, ashes directly tied below the Chinese women’s breasts. Tang clothing for peasant women consisted colourful and long gowns, and sashes tight around the waist and sashes tied directly below the Chinese women’s breasts. Then over 1000 years later, in 1810, wealthy Caucasian women in England started wearing dresses with sashes tied around the upper rib cage and England in 1810 stole and copied the original idea from China

This is a not a question and that is is a fact that valuable ancient paintings, and artifacts and clay sculptures in China prove that many aspects of our Chinese styles look totally unique in the first place and NOT from western influence. You should use the word "modernized clothing" and "western"is the wrong terminology because many modern clothing items are NOT even created by western people.

Obviously clothing in the 21st century uses a lot of concepts from our Chinese styles which came first in ancient China. Embroidery was invented and created in China and not the other way around. Your western women's dresses for rich people in 7th century are puffy and held by wires to make your dresses appear fat. Even though many peasants were living in western countries, you are missing the western clothing for peasants which is often not mentioned. On the other hand, Tang clothing and other dynasties for rich Chinese people is slimmer, with gauzy gowns for women that flow from top to bottom, and with NO fat dresses like the foreign country. Also, the Tang clothing has wide and graceful gauzy sleeves versus your western dresses do not have that. Tang hairstyles and amazing hair ornaments of jade and pearls on beautiful black hair of empresses and maidens are so unique that no other country has ever made them before. Colleen, please correct and delete your comment re: the styles look like Western clothing? when 99.99% of them did NOT ever step foot in England, did NOT get any of that from England " You are making that ridiculous and unjustifiable comment to accuse China during the 7th century. The Terracotta warriors are evidence of the styles for Chinese male clothing that were made before western styles were ever invented. Please note that fact that China has at least 5000 years of civilized history which is a longer period of time than western countries in comparison. Also, China is located so geographically far away from England. The people from China did not ever or rarely had any need to travel outside and would not go there. On the other hand, foreigners were always trying to get trade routes and to visit China during the rule of the Mongolian ruler and before that. Marco Polo brought back clothing styles, noodle products and other things to Italy and England and then did not give credit back later. Also, embroidery created in China uses animals, birds and landscape and architecture and flowers that are only native to China and do not grow elsewhere. Chinese paintings and valuable artifacts such as furniture and pottery are solid evidence that Tang clothing and other dynasties are the original thing and that is shared with the rest of the world, and western clothing today has copied and used a lot of that.
